Who we are

Sono4You is an association founded by medical students to support ultrasound in undergraduate education. Originally founded in Vienna in 2007, by now there are local initiatives at 11 universities in 4 European countries.

What we do

Our voluntary tutors offer free sonography courses for medical students to help them improve their sonographic skills as a preparation for their clinical career. Course contents offered include abdominal and point of care ultrasound, head & neck, echocardiography, musculoskeletal ultrasound and ultrasound-guided interventions as well as vascular sonography.

The teaching contents comply with European ultrasound guidelines and are based on international specialist literature. Doctors of different specialties help our tutors to acquire sonographic knowledge and strengthen their practical skills.

Sono4You provides practical ultrasound teaching and significantly improves undergraduate education in ultrasound at each university through intensive local cooperation. Additionally, we have organized programs for students at several international congresses all around Europe since 2012. We want every medical student to have the opportunity to learn and practically train their sonography skills.
